Rajani, Anupama emerge best sport climbers

Rajani Bisi and Anupama Swain emerged best male and female climbers respectively in the 2nd Odisha State Sport Climbing Championship, which was organised by Sport Wall Climbing Association of Odisha (SWCAO) at Kalinga Stadium Sport Climbing Complex here from June 22 to 24, 2018.

Around 50 competitors are said to have joined the state championship. Vishal Dev, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Odisha State Sports & Youth Services Department, handed over the trophies in the closing ceremony. Indian Mountaineering Foundation’s East Zone chairman Ujjwal Ganguly was present on the occasion.

Men: Open speed:
1. Rajani Bisi (Bhubaneswar), 2. Somnath Mundari (Sundargarh), 3. Bishnu Kolar (Nabarangpur). Open lead: 1. Bishnu Kolar (Nabarangpur), 2. Rajani Bisi (Bhubaneswar), 3. Somnath Mundari (Sundargarh).

Women: Open speed: 1. Anupama Swain (Bhubaneswar), 2. Monika Beck (Sambalpur), 3. Gayatri Murmu (Bhubaneswar). Open lead: 1. Anupama Swain, 2. Monika Beck, 3. Gayatri Murmu.

Junior men: 1. Amlan Barik (Bhubaneswar), 2. Tanwesh Punit Lenka (Bhubaneswar).
Sub-junior girls: 1. Bhargabi Bhabani Jena, 2. Madhupriya Bai.
